I came to the Senior School concert last night and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. It was my first senior concert as our child is still in Prep but he is also in brass group. The quality of the musicians was fantastic – but not only that, they were confident and their passion for music was obvious. I found myself smiling and engaging through the whole concert – even though our child was only in one piece!

I also love the inclusivity and approach to music I have seen – our child started trombone lessons last term, and even though he is a beginner, he has been welcomed into and are playing in the brass group. Having the approach that you start performing as soon as you start learning is wonderful – it teaches you that performing is part of playing, that you don’t have to reach a certain standard before you are ‘let loose on the parents’! And that you can do it! I can already see how this is boosting our child’s self-belief.

A huge thank you for everything you did to help our child (and us) settle in. They loved their first week, had an awesome time at the residential, have bonded well with new friends, are enjoying their lessons (they even really like history now!) and are finally thriving at school again. If we had any doubt we were making the right choice to move them (we didn’t), this has been well and truly squashed!

Our daughter has been a student at St Joseph’s  for the past seven years, starting in Year 7 and continuing through to the completion of her A Levels. Throughout her time at the school, we have been consistently impressed by the nurturing and supportive environment fostered by the dedicated staff.

One of the standout aspects of St Joseph’s is its exceptional pastoral care. The pastoral team has been instrumental in providing guidance and support at key pinch points over the years, ensuring that our daughter felt valued and encouraged at every stage of her journey. Their commitment to student well-being has been truly commendable.

We are truly delighted and deeply grateful that our child has had the privilege of studying at St Joseph’s College, Reading. The school provided not just an excellent education, but also an environment where a genuine sense of warmth and belonging thrived. From a welcoming atmosphere to the strong community spirit, we always felt that our child was surrounded by care, support, and encouragement. The values and friendships fostered here have left a lasting impression on our family, and we will always cherish the experiences and memories from this remarkable institution.
