Ms T Bobela

Head of Seniors

After studying Medieval and Modern History at Royal Holloway, University of London with some of the pioneering social historians of the day, I then took the plunge into the IT industry and worked for one of the first start-up Internet Service Providers. Following this, I worked in Marketing and Communications, had a family and ran a small business supporting others to improve their communication skills. This reignited a long-held desire to train as a teacher and I have never looked back. I really enjoy teaching History, but I am now also tremendously privileged to oversee the pastoral care of all students from Years 7 to 11, a role which has developed since I joined St. Joseph’s College seven years ago.

I passionately believe that excellent, consistent pastoral support at all levels is essential so that all pupils can reach their potential, both academically and personally.  I am very proud of the dedication of all the pastoral team who put the wellbeing of our students at the heart of what they do. In my spare time, I enjoy theatre (especially ballet), cooking, dog-walking, working on complex crochet creations and spending time with my three sons who are growing up far too quickly!
