Meet the Staff

Head of Spanish, Head of Lower Seniors

Mrs B Lovelock

As a former pupil of St Joseph’s, it is lovely to be back at school as a teacher. I studied Spanish at Southampton University, spent a year both studying and working at Malaga University and completed my PGCE at Reading University.  I have used my Spanish language skills throughout my whole career, which includes time at Hello! Magazine, the BBC and running my own business in international publishing. I have been teaching since 2010 and joined St Joseph’s four years ago. I am currently Head of Spanish and also have the pleasure of supporting Year 7 and Year 8 as Head of Lower Seniors.

My Spanish home town is on the coast north of Valencia. We tend to drive down in the holidays with our dogs, a two year old Maltese called Toto, who is quite crazy and a 10 year old Weimaraner called Bentley, who prefers to sleep. When I have time I love keeping up with the abundance of Spanish films and series available on Netflix! I relax playing the piano, gardening and cooking (usually Spanish food) for my large family!
