We have an inspiring team of dedicated staff at St Joseph’s who recognise that each child is an individual, and support them to reach their potential through a diverse range of learning experiences. Due to low staff turnover and our staff teaching throughout the College, pupils can rely on being taught by familiar faces as they progress through the years.

Mrs Laura Stotesbury
HEAD
I joined St Joseph’s College as Head in September 2021 from Prior Park College in Bath where I held the position of Deputy Head (Academic). As a teacher of Economics and Business, I have also held roles at Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital School, Bristol, Malvern College and Bedford School.
I met my husband Jason when we were both teaching at Malvern College and then when I moved to be Head of Department at Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital in Bristol he came too. We have two boys Lloyd and Rowan, who are loving St Joseph’s. Jason is also a Maths teacher here.
In my free time I love to sing. I have sung in choirs since I was at school and was musical director of an all female A Capella group at the University of Cambridge called The Fitz Sirens. I am an avid theatre goer and I have been known to tread the boards myself. One ‘thespian’ highlight was playing principal boy ‘Jack’ in a Staff Panto – whilst my now-husband was the front end of my bean-traded Pantomime Cow!
I am also a practising Catholic and so taking an active role in my Parish has always been important to me – playing with the music group, reading, serving as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, but of course acting as a Catechist; for teenagers for Confirmation and for 3-9 year olds in Children’s Liturgy on a Sunday morning, allowed me to play to my strengths as an educator!
I’m an avid fan of Only Connect with Victoria Coren-Mitchell and I enjoy solving puzzles and escape rooms with friends and family.
