Appointment of Office Manager

Permanent for an immediate start

St Joseph’s College is seeking to recruit an Office Manager for an immediate start. The appointed candidate will manage two Receptionist/Administrators and work together with those staff to cover all tasks and duties required of the Front Desk and back-office administration for both Prep and Senior School. The position is a full-time/permanent role for 52 weeks and the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm during term time (including inset, training and admin days), and 8am to 4pm during school holidays. The administrative office of the College is small and it is necessary for the Office Manager to support the Receptionist/Administrators with covering the switch-board and dealing with visitors to the College.

Closing Date: 12 noon – Friday 1 August 2025.
Interviews are likely to take place on Tuesday 5 August 2025.

Appointment of Receptionist/Administrator 

Two Permanent Roles for an immediate start

St Joseph’s College is seeking to recruit two Receptionist/Administrators to work in the College Reception. The two appointed candidates will work together to cover all tasks and duties required of the Front Desk and associated administrative tasks for both Prep and Senior School.

Applications for job-share for either of the roles would be considered. Please
make this clear on your covering letter, outlining your preferred working hours.

The hours of work are term time only (including all inset, training and admin days), Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm and if required up to three weeks in school holidays (8am to 2pm) to be claimed on a timesheet to cover holiday absence.

Closing Date: 12 noon – Friday 1 August 2025.

Appointment of Exam Manager 

Permanent for an immediate start

St Joseph’s College is seeking to appoint an Exams Manager to start as soon as
possible. The role is offered full-time during term time including staff training /
admin / inset days, and three additional weeks to cover exam periods. The post
holder will be required to work flexibly across the academic year in line with the examination timetable and the hours are to be worked on an annualised basis.

Closing date: 12 noon, 5 August 2025.
Interviews are likely to take place shortly after the closing date.

Appointment of Clerk to the Governors

Part-Time, Permanent for September 2025

St Joseph’s College are seeking to recruit a Clerk to the Governors for a September 2025 start. The person will report into the Chair of Governors and the appointed candidate will need to work flexibly and attend early evening and daytime meetings on a part-time basis. The post is for approximately 180 hours per annum (approximately 5 weeks’ work).

Meetings are held predominantly in the early evening (some Governors join virtually) but occasionally in the daytime as required. Previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

Appointment of Science Technician

Permanent for September 2025

St Joseph’s College is seeking to appoint an organised and forward-thinking member of staff to support the Science Department in the delivery of the practical elements of the Science Curriculum primarily supporting the Chemistry and Physics departments.

Excellent people skills and attention to detail are essential, as is a can-do attitude and ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload. A Science or Laboratory background, together with sound management skills would be required.

This role is term-time only and the hours of work are from 8.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, with half an hour lunch break (unpaid), during term time and including all inset / admin / training days. Flexibility may be required over the start and finish times to fit around the College timetable and the needs of practical lessons.

Closing Date: 9am, 6 August 2025.
Interviews are likely to take place on 13 August 2025.
