Professor F Le Saux

Francoise is a sessional lecturer at the University of Reading. As French Studies Programme Director her responsibilities include teaching at all levels of undergraduate study (French language; medieval French history; medieval French literature; comparative literature) and teaching at Masters level. Her research interests are in the area of medieval literary history, particularly issues of translation and cultural adaptation in the Middle Ages and Arthurian literature.

Her main ongoing research project is an exploration of the impact on medieval and early modern literature of the scientific revolution initiated by translations from the Arabic, in particular with regards to the treatment of narratives of artificial human generations.

Students excel in their GCSE results

The efforts and hard work of Year 11 students at St Joseph’s College have resulted in excellent GCSE outcomes again this year, with 70 percent achieving grades 9-7, and 100 percent gaining grades 9-4.
