Meet the Staff

Interim Bursar

Mrs M Dimmock

I am delighted to be working with the amazing team at St Joseph’s College, all of whom have made me feel very welcome.

I’ve enjoyed a successful and varied management career over more years than I care to mention and am currently using my skill set in senior interim roles in the education sector.

In terms of my career history, following a successful early management career in the NHS in several senior roles during the 1990’s, I moved to the private sector as an Executive Hospital Director in 2002 and completed my MBA with the Open University in 2007. I was fortunate then to fulfil a lifelong ambition to live and work overseas and in 2010 joined a government tertiary maternity and neonatal hospital in Abu Dhabi as its Director of Operations delivering a successful programme of service re-organisation. On returning to the UK in 2012, I joined Moorfields Eye Hospital in London as Managing Director of its private patient unit creating a financial surplus for reinvestment back into the hospital’s NHS services. After a short spell as General Manager of a leading criminal barristers’ chambers in Fleet Street, I decided on a move to the education sector in 2020 as the Business Director at St Helen’s School in North London, dealing with all the challenges of Covid.

I live in Marlow with my husband and have a daughter and 3 grandchildren who recently moved to North Devon. I am very much the ‘doting grandma’ and seeing them thrive draws me even closer to supporting the education sector as best I can.
