Last year, St Joseph’s College chose Guide Dogs as their charity of the year and, having raised over £6,300, were given the special privilege of naming a new guide dog puppy. It seemed fitting to name her Mandy, in honour of our long-serving Director of The Arts, Mandy Kesel, who retired this summer after over 40 years at the College.
Mrs Kesel returned as a guest judge at our annual House performance last week and was delightedly surprised to hear the news that the puppy Mandy had been born.
Mandy the puppy has a bright future ahead, filled with fun, excitement, and new adventures. We look forward to sharing updates on her progress as she grows and begins her training to help those in need.
